Senior Merchandiser

We are a fast growing and award-winning spa retailer that first launched in 2018 and have sold over 55,000 Spas all over the UK & USA.

The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the merchandising strategy at Wave. This is a full-time hybrid role, with the Senior Merchandiser being required to work from our Newcastle upon Tyne office, but with the flexibility to work remotely at times. The Senior Merchandiser will be responsible to oversee inventory, make recommendations for purchasing and partnering with vendors, setting prices and promotions, working cross-functionally with the marketing, retail, and sales team to ensure product availability, and tracking sales trends.

We are looking for a motivated, analytical and confident individual to join our friendly team in central Newcastle. Whilst the role will come with specific daily, weekly and monthly tasks, the ideal candidate should keep in mind that we are a fast-growing team that prides ourselves in supporting colleagues in any way that we can. Key Accountabilities

• Create, manage, and own budget and strategy for sales, margin and stock
• Drive and maximise sales and profitability
• Optimising product performance through demand planning/forecasting, markdown and stock intake control
• Analysing data to react to trading opportunities & trend
• Data reporting and analysis for the business to make informed data led decisions to drive topline growth and optimise profitability
• Work with buying and sourcing team on development of new ranges
• Identify and manage risk while seeking out opportunities
• Create commercial range plans to optimise breadth, depth, sizing and pricing architecture
• Ability to analyse sales trends and work with large sets of data to make business recommendations

 Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate would be an experienced merchandiser within a retail/online business.

• Previous experience working with vendors, managing inventory, and setting prices and promotions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A degree in Business, Mathematics or a related field is preferred
