We started it because most people who want one will never have one.
For most households, a hot tub is shorthand for hassle. A patio you don't have. A contractor you don't want to call. A price tag that turns an afternoon's idea into a five-year plan. The biggest market in leisure, in other words, is the one that never gets to enjoy it.
We thought that was nonsense.
A decade later, Wave is the UK's highest-rated portable hot tub brand on Trustpilot, with thousands of five-star reviews from people who'd never have called themselves hot tub people. We built the company for them and we're still building it for them.

2018
Wave is founded.
Two founders, one conviction: that the things putting people off owning a hot tub - patios, contractors, five-figure budgets - were the wrong problem to be solving.
2020
Two Gold Standards in one year.
The industry agrees. In our second full year of trading, Wave wins both Gold Standard Spa Retailer of the Year and Gold Standard Spa Product of the Year.
2021
The Eco Foam range launches.
A new category of portable hot tub, designed from scratch around insulation and efficiency. First to market - and still the benchmark.
2023
Heat Integrated Technology arrives (HIT).
We move the heater inside the spa. Quieter. Faster. Neater. The product gets a little closer to the simplicity the brand was built on.
2024
WaveFlow launches.
A new dual-circulation system: cleaner water, better flow, less for the owner to think about. The same logic, applied again - take the hassle out, leave the soaking in.
2025
A second Product of the Year.
The Adriatic, featuring WaveFlow, takes Gold Standard Spa Product of the Year. Five years on from the first. Waveflow Technology also picks up a gold standard, now featured accross the full range.
2026
Highest rated, by some distance.
Wave becomes the UK's highest-rated portable hot tub brand on Trustpilot. The customers, finally, get the last word.

We also make paddleboards, kayaks and canoes under Wave Watersports. Different kit, same principle - get on the water without making a project of it.
