Are foam hot tubs cheaper to run than inflatable?

Yes, roughly half. A foam tub uses around 8 kWh a day against about 16 for an inflatable, which works out at roughly £2.40 in the UK, $2.40 in the US or €2.40 in the EU, against £4.80, $4.80 or €4.80. WaveEco insulation is up to 60% more thermally efficient and the 1.5kW heater draws less power.

How long does a foam hot tub take to heat up?

A first heat cycle takes 12 to 18 hours depending on ambient temperature, against 14 to 23 hours for an inflatable. Foam models reach target temperature around 40% faster and hold heat about three times longer.

How big are the six person foam tubs?

The Garda is 180cm / 71in across, the Tahoe 184cm / 72in and the octagonal Como 195cm / 77in, all 70cm / 27.5in tall. The Tahoe holds 1,250 L / 330 gal and the Como 1,300 L / 343 gal.

Can a foam hot tub be drained and stored?

They are designed to stay in place year round rather than be packed away seasonally, and their insulation makes winter use practical. If you do need to store one, drain it fully and dry it before moving.

Do foam hot tubs need chemicals?

Yes, water care is the same whatever the tub is made of. Aim for 3 to 5 ppm free chlorine, pH between 7.2 and 7.8 and total alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm, testing at least twice a week.
