How the heater (pump) connects to your spa depends on your model. Find your spa below for the key steps and a link to its full instruction manual, which has diagrams for every step.
Safety first: keep the spa unplugged while connecting anything, and hand-tighten connectors. Don't overtighten.
Eco-Foam spas: Como, Garda and Tahoe
These spas have an integrated heater that sits inside the foam wall.
Position the foam panels so the panels with a groove for the dual inlet hose sit to the right of the heater cut-out (viewed from inside the spa).
Fit the heater snugly into the cut-out in the foam panel, with the controller cable through the hole inside the pocket.
Pull up the inner liner so its top rim sits on the foam wall, then zip the outer and inner liners together, starting above the heater.
Reconnect the controller to its cable, taking care to align the pins, and screw the sleeve on tightly so it's waterproof.
After the first circulation cycle, screw the two filter cartridges onto the inlet connectors, hand-tight, and add the filter covers.
If the dual inlet pipe is ever loose, tighten the connector by hand first, then firm up the Jubilee clip with a screwdriver. See Spa Leaking Water.

Inflatable spas: Aegean, Atlantic and Pacific
These spas have an integrated heater. Set-up is mainly inflating the spa using the heater's Bubble button and the inflation hose, then fitting the filters:
Inflate the spa following the manual, then screw the caps back onto the inflation valve and air inflow. Don't overtighten.
Inside the spa, locate the outlet connector and inlet connector.
After the first circulation cycle, screw the filter cartridge onto the inlet connector, hand-tight, and add the filter cover.
If you need to remove or refit the heater, follow the Replacing your heater section of the manual. The heater connects to the liner at the outlet connector, inlet connector (plus an extra filter inlet on Dual Inlet spas), controller and air bubble connector.

Ontario (external heater)
Locate the water inlet, water outlet and air jet connector on the spa.
Unpack the external heater unit and screw the three hoses onto it in the order shown in the manual.
Line each hose up with its matching connector on the spa and screw into place.
After the first circulation cycle, screw the filter cartridge onto the filter connector and add the filter cover.

Adriatic frame spa (external heater)
Once the frame and liner are assembled, feed the LED cable through the holes in the aluminium panel.
Attach the connectors to the external heater. Don't overtighten.
Cover the connectors with the plastic cover provided.
After the first circulation cycle, screw the filter cartridges onto the inlet connectors, hand-tight, and add the filter covers.

Before you heat: run the first circulation cycle
On every model, fill the spa between the MIN and MAX lines with the filters out, press Filter and let it run for 10 minutes before fitting the filters. This protects the heater. See our First-Fill Checklist.
