To set up your Wave hot tub for the first time, start by choosing a level, well-drained surface. For inflatable models (Pacific, Aegean, Atlantic), unfold the spa carefully, connect the integrated pump, and inflate (15–20 minutes). Then fill to the MAX line with lukewarm water, connect the control unit and heater, add initial chemicals, and heat for 14–23 hours to reach 40°C.

For foam models (Garda, Como, Tahoe), prepare a base like a concrete pad or decking, position the spa, connect the heater, fill with water, add chemicals, and heat for 14–23 hours. Setup videos and quick-start guides are available, plus customer support to assist.

For everyday maintenance, a heaped teaspoon holds approximately 8g of chlorine granules. As a general guide, to increase a 1500L hot tub from 0ppm to 5ppm you will need to add at least 12g of Chlorine Granules. So approximately one and a half teaspoons should be enough.

Heavily used hot tubs, maintained at high temperatures, may require more frequent dosing with Chlorine. Individual requirements may vary, test using a poolside test kit and adjust the dose rate as necessary to maintain a chlorine level of 1-3 ppm or mg/litre.

Wave hot tubs heat from 15°C to 40°C in about 14–23 hours for all models. Heating speed depends on factors like ambient temperature, wind exposure, cover usage, and starting water temperature. All Wave models have quick heating and heat at roughly 1.5°C per hour.

Using a thermal cover can reduce heating time by 40%, and filling with lukewarm water, sheltering from wind, and maintaining proper chemical balance also help. Smaller 4-person models heat about 15% faster than 6-person ones, and summer heating is typically 20% quicker than in winter. All Wave models feature integrated heaters for efficient warming.

To find leaks or punctures in your hot tub, start with a careful visual inspection of seams and surfaces, listen for any hissing sounds, and apply soapy water, bubbles will reveal leaks.

Always check valve connections first, as they’re a common source of leaks. For punctures, use the repair kit provided: clean the area, apply the PVC patch, and let it cure for 24 hours before reinflating. If you see error code E6, it indicates a sensor fault, contact our support team.
