THE ESSENTIALS

TREATING YOUR INFLATABLE HOT TUB WATER

It is essential that you regularly check and treat the water in your Wave Spa to get full enjoyment and to extend your Wave Spa’s life.

WATER TREATMENT CHEMICAL INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend the Wave Spa range of chemicals - Click Here for Chlorine Tablets / Chlorine Granules
Before you add any water treatment chemicals to your spa please read the instructions on the label.
Do not add chemicals to your spa when it is occupied by anyone.
Only add chemicals to your spa when water is being circulated.
Only add chemicals that are totally dissolved to your spa.
Make sure you do not mix chemicals together as some chemicals can explode or create poisonous gases if mixed together. Water treatment chemicals are highly concentrated.
Always clean or replace the filter cartridge when you drain or refill your spa. Remove any stagnant water before you start to refill.
Water treatment chemicals should be handled carefully in a well ventilated area and your hands should be thoroughly cleaned after using chemicals.
Water treatment chemicals should always be stored in a cool, dry, secure area well out of the reach of children.

DISINFECTING THE WATER INSIDE YOUR HOT TUB

We recommend Wave Spa Chlorine Granules - Click Here for Chlorine Granules
The use of Wave Spa Chlorine Granules is the best way to sanitise your spa water and the spa needs to be chlorinated all the time.
You must always test daily the Chlorine level in your spa water, and always before use.

The most ideal Chlorine level is between 3-5 parts per million.
If your Chlorine level is lower than 3 parts per million then please use the following instructions.

a) Dissolve the correct amount of granules in warm water inside a clean plastic bucket, stirring until completely dissolved.
b) Turn your spa circulation pump on and pour the content of the bucket directly onto the surface of the spa water.
c) After 15 to 20 minutes with the spa circulation pump still running, test again the spa water. If the Chlorine level is still too low, repeat the operation until the level is 3-5 parts per million.
d) Do not use your spa for 15 to 20 minutes
e) Generally to chlorinate you will need to add approximately 3g of granules for each part per million.

So for a 4 person Wave Spa you would need to add as follows:
Initial set up 6 gms (3/4 teaspoon) to take to 4 parts per million and every day add a further 1.5 gms
And for a 6 person Wave Spa you would need to add as follows:
Initial set up 8 gms ( 1 teaspoon) to take to 4 parts per million and every day add a further 2 gms (1/4 teaspoon).

MAINTAINING PH LEVELS IN YOUR HOT TUB

Maintaining the correct pH levels in your Wave Spa is essential. The most ideal pH level is between 7.2 to 7.6 and the level should be tested two times each week, and always before use.
