Use WAVE Chlorine Granules 55% for the disinfection of spa and swimming pool water. The granules are completely soluble and have little effect on pH. They also contain a stabiliser to protect against loss of chlorine to sunlight, making them ideal for daily chlorination.
Add WAVE™ Chlorine Granules 55% into 10 litres of fresh water using a clean plastic container and mix carefully. Slowly pour the solution into the spa or pool water near to the return inlets and rinse out the container thoroughly.
As a general guide, to increase a 1500L spa from 0ppm to 5ppm you will need to add at least 12g of Chlorine Granules. A heaped teaspoon holds approximately 8g of chlorine granules.
Chlorine Granules 55% to 10 cubic metres of spa or pool water. This daily dose rate is offered as a general guide for private spas and pools. Heavily used spas and pools or those maintained at higher temperatures may require increased dosage. Test for actual requirements by using a poolside test kit - adjusting the dose rate as necessary to maintain a chlorine level of 1-3 ppm or mg/litre.
To obtain maximum benefit from WAVE™ Chlorine Granules 55%, the pH of the water should be maintained around 7.4 and between 7.2 and 7.8 at all times. Chlorine is less effective at high pH ie. above 7.8.
